This year I have learnt about the life of Mary MacKillop. She was a pioneering woman who became a nun. During her lifetime she travelled Australia and New Zealand setting up schools and helping the poor and needy. Recently the Pope declared her a Saint.
Teaching kids about Mary MacKillop is a worthwhile lesson.
